چکیده
Asphalt pavement accounts for ~87% of the overall in Korea. However, owing to black surface and extensive cover area, ambient temperature rapidly increases, thereby contributing urban heat island effect. Therefore, materials with modified porosity conditions have been developed; however, studies on heat-related characteristic values such are insufficient. In this study, thermal characteristics were evaluated regard Test specimens as WC-2 PA-13, i.e., polymer-binder-used mixture, compressed using a Gyratory Compactor. The characteristics, conductivity, specific capacity, diffusivity, emissivity, studied, accumulation test was performed. water-permeable polyurethane concrete mixture (polymer-binder-used mixture) exhibited ~4% lower emissivity than conventional asphalt according analysis change conductivity based accumulation, it confirmed that rate energy transfer effect ~20% slower mixture. study results provide essential information design harvesting freeze-thaw pavement-related systems.

Mitigating thermal runaway of lithium-ion battery by using thermally sensitive polymer blend as cathode binder
Thermally sensitive binder (TSB) is developed as an internal safety mechanism of lithium-ion battery (LIB). The TSB is a polymer blend of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP). Compared with regular PVDF binder, the softening and swelling of TSB are more pronounced when temperature is above 110 8C. With the TSB, the cycling performance ...

We evaluated the strength and durability characteristics of latex-polymer-modified, pre-packed pavement repair concrete (LMPPRC) with a rapid-set binder. The rapid-set binder was a mixture of rapid-set cement and silica sand, where the fluidity was controlled using a latex polymer. The resulting mix exhibited a compressive strength of ¥21 MPa and a flexural strength of ¥3.5 MPa after 4 h of cur...
